This is my last collection of alps photographs for now, I hope you have enjoyed viewing them. These are my favourite pictures from the holiday and the idea of showing the scale of the landscape and how small we are within it is something that I am really aiming to show in my landscape photography at the moment.

I have just returned from a week away in Wales with the whole family for mine and my Dads birthdays. It is a great week away and the high light for me, except for the great time with the family, was my visit to Gigrin Farm in mid Wales. The owner has been feeding Red Kites at the farm everyday for 16 years and now has 5 hides overlooking the feeding ground. It was a truly spectacular event! The sky was literally filled with hundreds of birds, I would place a guess at 200 Red Kites showing up for the feed! We stayed until the light had almost faded away, enjoying the amazing spectacle. As we were packing are gear into the car the owner came over and we had a chat. He said that the winter feeds are when the most birds show up, sometimes up to 500! The best pictures will be on the blog soon. It was so amazing to watch and photograph, I will definitely be returning and I am currently in the process of planning when to go back! Check back soon for the photographs.
